Student: Do I have to update my supporting documentation every trimester?

14352 views

This will depend on whether the disability is permanent or temporary, and whether the information in previous supporting documentation is still applicable for the remainder of study.

Where documentation states that a condition is temporary, adjustments are usually implemented for one trimester only.

In most instances, further documentation will be requested if adjustments are to remain in place.  At the time your Access Plan is reviewed, the Disability Liaison Officer (DLO) will advise if updated supporting documentation is needed. When a medical or mental health condition is ongoing and the adjustments or services needed do not change, it is unlikely that you will be asked for further documentation.
