All teaching graduates, except for those within the Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (E333) and the Master of Teaching (Early Childhood) (E761), will need to pass the Literacy and Numeracy Test for Initial Teacher Education Students (LANTITE) before they can teach. If you are a teaching student commencing from 2017 onward this test is a core requirement for graduating from your course.
Students who commenced before 2017 will not have the test as an accreditation requirement for graduation. However, it will still be a requirement for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
