If you're concerned about something that's happened at Deakin, or have a complaint, Deakin has processes in place to help you.
- If you feel comfortable doing so, you can raise your concerns informally with the responsible person or area. You can find a list of contacts to assist you on the Student Complaints webpage under the ‘Talk to the person or area responsible’ heading.
- If you don't feel comfortable or are unsatisfied with their response, you can escalate your concerns to Student Complaints by completing the Student Complaints Form. Your concerns will be addressed using the Student Complaints Resolution policy and procedure.
- If your concern relates to an assessment issue, be aware that these issues are normally handled by the faculty under the Assessment (Higher Education Courses) or Academic Progress procedures.
- If you feel unsafe or threatened because of the way someone at Deakin is behaving or have experienced sexual harm, please contact Safer Community. If you are on campus and need an immediate response, call Deakin Security on 1800 062 579 or use the SafeZone app if you have it installed. If you are in danger while off campus, call Emergency Services on 000.
