How do I return to my course after being excluded as an international student?

To apply for re-admission as an international student, please follow the steps mentioned in your exclusion letter. It is recommended you apply for re-admission 2-3 months prior to the expiry date of your exclusion period. The steps will include the following:

  1. Apply to the Faculty Academic Progress and Integrity Committee to lift the exclusion from your previous enrolment. Visit the Re-admission after academic exclusion webpage for further information and the application form.

  2. If your re-admission after exclusion is approved by the Faculty Academic Progress and Integrity Committee, you will be given further information and a link to complete the International re-admission form. At the time of applying for International re-admission,  you must complete a personal statement addressing the Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) requirement and provide evidence to support your personal statement including a description of what you have been doing during your exclusion period. If you have travelled in and out of Australia during your exclusion, you will also need to provide a copy of your flight itineraries or other documentary proof.

  3. If your re-admission application is refused by the Faculty Academic Progress and Integrity Committee, you will have 20 working days from the date of the outcome letter to appeal the decision to the University Appeals Committee.

For more information and a list of supporting documents to include in your re-admission, go to the International student re-admission webpage.
